Winter is Coming.

Now where have we heard that phrase?  Some tv show I think...dunno.  Anyway, it is coming.  Got a mountain bike ride in yesterday and it was great: dry dirt, uncrowded trails, and warm temps (in the low 60s).  Today: snow showers and partly cloudy.  Hoping it is somewhat nice tomorrow; hoping for a few more photography excursions to the park before the inner park road closes November 1.  Couple photos from recent trips:

More Changes. Some of you may know that I had worked for a local newspaper for many years in their distribution department. Kind of funny because I was the distribution department. Nuts.... At this time of year I try and get out for some photography in the mornings, especially up to Grand Teton. It is quiet up there, the roads are still open, and you can get places easily. A bit harder after November 1 because the inner park road between Bradley/Taggart Lakes parking area and Signal Mountain Lodge is closed to cars. This is 16 miles long and I can still ride a bike on it until the snow really flies. The park service does groom this road but they don't allow bikes to access it, not even fatbikes. Kind of...
