Big honking keychain for hotel room. You gave your keys back to the front desk when you left for the day otherwise you developed a limp from carrying all that metal.
Couldn't figure out why the double door system. Quirky, but considering the hotel had been in operation as a guest house/hostel/hotel since 1570, I think the renovations over the years make sense of this.
Some of the ski runs above town. Those runs are above a stadium used for the FIS world championships a couple years prior.
Bottom station of the Galzigbahn gondola. Huge gondolas that could hold 24 people per car, suspended on two wires on the sides of the car so very little rocking. Very stable. The bottom station had a ferris wheel setup so the entrance station was quite small.
Bottom station of the Galzigbahn. You can see the blue disengagement wheel through the glass.
Main pedestrian drag. No vehicles. Hotel Alte Post on left (yellow building).
I loved the mural on the right side building, and the deer antlers on the left side building.
I found many of the hotels had really bright pastel paint jobs. Looked nice.
Wooden carving next to a wooden fountain. Great attention to details. Carver must be a genius.
